About Me

I’m May Knight mBANT DipION CNHC, Registered Nutritional Therapist whose mission is to provide evidence-based, personalised nutrition and lifestyle advice to support clients in achieving their health goals.

Throughout my teens I struggled with gut and skin issues but considered this a symptom of my age. Aged 20 I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and IBS which was a turning point for my health. I realised that diet was central to managing these conditions but couldn’t find clear support and guidance.

I decided to train as a Nutritional Therapist myself,  I studied for 4 years at the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition. I now have an understanding of how to nourish my body and fully manage my conditions. I want to use what i’ve learnt to help you tackle symptoms and underlying imbalances to get back to feeling your best.

With a background and passion for good food and cooking, I will work with you to create personalised food, supplement and lifestyle plans that prioritise enjoyment of food in the pursuit of improving nutrition and diet as a long term, sustainable way to improve your health.

Outside of 1:1 personal consultations I work for companies doing recipe development, menu and content creation and providing nutritional advice.

I graduated from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London in 2022 and undertake continuous professional development to remain up to date with the latest nutrition science.

I am fully insured and governed by BANT (British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine) and the CNCH (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council).

My Approach

  • Evidence Based

Using the latest scientific evidence to investigate your underlying imbalances and inform your plan.

It’s my job to simplify all the information out there.

Investigation of the underlying imbalances driving your symptoms using functional testing and tailored supplementation.

Working collaboratively on bespoke diet and lifestyle plans.

  • Holistic

Looking at your symptoms collectively in the context of your health history.

Considering the impact of diet, lifestyle, movement, stress, sleep & environment.

  • Food Focused

Prioritising the enjoyment of good food and cooking.

Looking at what we can add into your diet rather than taking away.

I have worked with May for 5 sessions and it has really improved my daily eating habits. I am eating a lot better and I'm no longer snacking on chocolate and biscuits in the afternoon as I do not have a crash in the afternoon. I've lost several lbs too which is what I hoped to do

I would recommend using May. She has been very helpful and has provided proper customised advice including great recipes that suit my busy lifestyle, food budgets and inability to cook much.
